Dr. Vaibhavi S. Patel
Suffering from a horrible toothache? Did your child break a tooth in a fall, baseball game, or while riding a bike? Regardless of how severe or painful it is a dental emergency often cannot wait. Even if you aren’t in pain, it may be that it’s too embarrassing to go out in public.
The first thing you should do if you’ve had a dental emergency is to call our Danville dentist immediately. Our staff will discuss what happened over the phone, and make arrangements to have you seen as quickly as you can get to our office.
Evening and Weekend Dental Emergencies
If it’s after hours, you can leave a message on our callback line, and one of our staff members or dentist will return your call as soon as possible. Even if you don’t need to be seen right away, we can discuss what steps to take to keep yourself comfortable until the next business day.
Save Your Tooth
For our patients with broken or avulsed (knocked out) teeth: find the tooth or portion of the tooth if possible. Rinse it gently, without scrubbing the surface. Store the tooth in a cup of contact solution or milk. If the tooth is whole, you can try to put it back into the socket and hold it in place as you make your way to our office. To bond broken teeth back into place, we need to see you within the first hour!

VSP Dental treats hundreds of emergency dental patients each year – both new and existing patients. Whether or not we’ve seen you in the past, you’re always welcome to give us a call. We accept all major insurance carriers as well as credit cards. Financing options are also available!
Call us right away the next time you experience a dental emergency in Danville.
